With nearly a decade of her own sharp, expressive alt rock under her belt, Meg Myers tackles a cover song for the first time. Kate Bush is an avant garde British singer-songwriter who emerged during the post-punk/New Wave era. Music writers often cite Bush as an influence on modern day female artists with powerful vocals over music that leans artsy. Think Florence + The Machine. But Meg Myers is also a huge fan. In her recent NPR Tiny Desk Concert she said:
I just really love what it's about. It's about men and women and the difference between them, and learning to have empathy for each other and how difficult that can be.
