ICYMI: Metallica on ‘The Late Show’

Metallica’s recent history of sound issues on CBS, fortunately, didn’t rear its ugly head last night (May 15) on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The band are in the New York City area right now because of their North American stadium tour and played a show at MetLife Stadium Sunday night (May 14) and will be taking their show next to New Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. tomorrow night (May 17.)

Despite having to cut “Now That We’re Dead” by a minute likely due to broadcast time constraints, Metallica, as expected, still rocked the Ed Sullivan Theatre.  However, we’re a little bummed “God” didn’t make an appearance like he did when Green Day performed on The Late Show in March.

The metal legends visit The Late Show to perform a song off their new album "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct."
