Scratch those expectations for new albums from Tool or A Perfect Circle this Year.
Answering a fan tweet about a new album from the latter, A Perfect Circle tweeted a simple "Not true." In a subsequent tweet, it added: "@Tool Also not true."

Both bands, which share frontman Maynard James Keenan, have been in the studio working on new material -- Tool on its first album since 2006's 10,000 Days, APC since 2004's Emotive.
Tool's has been up in the air for quite some time, but both APC guitarist Billy Howerdel and the group's new label, BMG Records, previously said that the group's fourth album would indeed be released during 2017.
Tool will be touring, however, with a North American run beginning May 24 in Fairfax, Va.
