Kiedis Improving, RHCP Still Set To Headline Rock On The Range

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis is on the mend after a weekend bout with severe intestinal flu, according to a Kiedis fan web site.

A post at says that "A close friend of Anthony Kiedis has messaged me just to say they've received an e.mail from him saying he's feeling a lot better." The post also said that Kiedis' mother, Peggy, "said last night he was feeling a lot better so hopefully things are moving in the right direction."

The Chili Peppers canceled a pair of shows after Kiedis was hospitalized on Saturday night (May 14) complaining of severe stomach pains. There's no word on when he'll be released, and the group is next scheduled to perform Sunday (May 22) at the Rock On The Range Festival in Columbus, Ohio.

The Chili Peppers new album, "The Getaway," is due out June 17.
