They've Casted The Young Han Solo... Supposedly!

There might be a new Han Solo in town, at least, according to PageSix

There's still waiting on actual confirmation from Disney and Lucasfilm, which declined to comment to Entertainment Weekly on the casting, but we might be looking at Alden Ehrenreich casted as young Han Solo.

This comes as a surprise, considering the long list of people considered for the role, including Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, and Scott Eastwood (according to Entertainment Weekly).

Though many other sites like Variety and The Hollywood Reporter have come to the front saying that he won the part, we'll wait till Disney and Lucasfilm confirm the win!

Ehrenreich's biggest role as of yet was his part in Hail, Caesar!, but if this stand alone Han film has truly found it's next Millennium Falcon pilot, it will far surpass that film. It's also extremely interesting that they would pick someone a little off the beaten path for the role, but then again, it means that Ehrenreich is able to make the role his own, similar to how Daisy Ridley and John Boyega have been able to create their own legacy.

EW quotes Harrison Ford offering advice to the next Han when he was asked about someone taking on a prequel role, saying "‘Talk to your director. Watch the movies. And welcome aboard. Make it your own.’”

Do you think that Alden and Ford look enough alike? Check out this picture from 1980 with Harrison Ford at a movie panel with Carrie Fisher. I'd say the similarities are closer than Han's son in the forward films.
