The Black Keys Announce First Boston Show In 5 Years!

Get ready, Beantown! The Black Keys just announced their 2019 US tour complete with Boston date and support from Modest Mouse!

Only a week ago we were listening to "Lo/Hi" on repeat. A comeback track so good it squashed a longtime beef! Okay, the Jack White/Black Keys beef actually ended a while back. We're just really excited about Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney's return.

But now we have something a bit more concrete to get psyched over.

The Black Keys will play TD Garden on October 11. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 22 at 10 AM.

This tour utilizes Ticketmaster's Verified Fan platform to ensure as many tickets as possible wind up in fans' hands and not scalpers. Click here to register for the presale before Monday, March 18. An additional presale for Citi card members starts Tuesday, March 19.

The duo last visited Boston on September 21, 2014 in support of their 2014 album Turn Blue. I imagine they'll release a new album before the upcoming concert. And if "Lo/Hi" is any indication perhaps it'll find middle ground between the trippy Turn Blue and the rockin' El Camino.

Regardless... this is news that definitely makes us wanna dance.

Speaking of bands that haven't shared new music for a while, indie rock veterans Modest Mouse serve as supporting act for all dates. The opening act varies based on concert date. Boston gets Nashville by-way-of Brooklyn genre-hopping singer Jessy Wilson. She has worked with artists like Alicia Keys and John Legend; and her sound runs the gamut from alt and R&B to blues and country.
