New York City's premiere music festival Governors Ball shares its 2019 lineup which includes Tyler, The Creator, Florence + The Machine, The 1975 and more!
Arguably the biggest prize for Governors Ball's 2019 lineup is hometown heroes The Strokes first U.S. show in three years. Their Sunday headlining set will close the festival.
Hip hop rules Friday with Tyler, The Creator, Lil Wayne, and Brockhampton at the top of the bill.
Saturday leans a bit more alternative with Florence + The Machine and The 1975. Major Lazer joins them at the top of the lineup that day.
Digging a bit deeper, other artists playing GovBall that you've also heard on Alt 92.9 include Dennis Lloyd, King Princess, Lord Huron, Bob Moses, Dreamers, MØ, and SHAED.
Who else on the bill would I recommend checking out if you're making the trip to NYC? Blood Orange, Mitski, The Voidz (Julian Casablancas from The Strokes), Miles Kane, Sunflower Bean, U.S. Girls, and Soccer Mommy.
Now the Boston Calling speculation really ramps up. The Beantown-based festival falls during Memorial Day weekend - one weekend earlier than GovBall. The two festivals usually share a handful of artists.
Are you planing to attench GovBall? Which GovBall artists are you hoping also play Boston Calling?
