'A Head Full Of Dreams' follows Coldplay over their twenty-plus years as a band. And OMG look at teenage Chris Martin in braces!
"Coldplay are going to go on to be such a huge band!" exclaims that exuberant teenager. And how fortunate that director Mat Whitecross - who has since directed the punk biopic Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll and the acclaimed Oasis doc Supersonic - befriended Chris, Johnny, Will, and Guy in college before Coldplay was even a thing? How could anyone ever have realistically known that these goofy kids would go on to write so many emotive pop-rock anthems like "The Scientist", "Fix You", "Clocks", among others? Whitecross shot footage on these boys even way back then. From the earliest days through the 2000s drama and the massive 'A Head Full Of Dreams Tour' ending in 2017, this film aims to tell the complete Coldplay story.
In November, Coldplay will release a new documentary called A Head Full Of Dreams, which charts their two decades together so far. It is directed by Mat Whitecross, who's been filming the band since their very first rehearsal. #AHFODfilm will stream exclusively on #PrimeVideo from 16 November in the UK, US, Australia and NZ, with local language versions available globally soon after.
A Head Full Of Dreams arrives on Amazon Prime Video November 16.
Limited screenings in movie theaters happen on November 14.
Amazon Music will premiere three exclusive live tracks from the film on October 26. "Stayin' Alive (Live at Glastonbury)" with Barry Gibb (presumably a cover of the Bee Gees' classic), "Us Against The World", and "Don't Panic".
