On tour opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers and Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam played this short acoustic set on November 14, 1991.
According to the exhaustive gig history at pearljam.com, four dates at Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan bookended Pearl Jam's 5-song acoustic set at this Tower Records in Yonkers, New York. They opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers (headlining) and Smashing Pumpkins (support) at those shows.
How much has time changed? While imagining Eddie Vedder and the boys opening a 3-band bill is hard, neither Tower Records nor Roseland Ballroom even exists anymore!
The below video ends before two of the songs according to the setlist, but getting such a candid look back at the eventual Rock And Roll Hall Of Famers is still amazing.
