Rock Hall Fan Votes Are In And It's A Complete 'Runaway' - Amy Brooks

In the past 3 years, the Alt Rock format has been well represented with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors.  Nirvana, Green Day, Pearl Jam etc. Well, now that we are on to 2018, although this year my favorite music isn't necessarily represented much (or at all), there have been a couple of interesting twists worth noting...

The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame recently released the results of the 2018 fan votes—and, can I just was a "Runaway" (see what I did there?)  Bon Jovi claimed the most fan votes by far and away.

God I love that hair!

The list of 2018 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame nominations was revealed back in October and since then fans have been able to got to the Rock Hall's website and vote for their favorite which impacts the final outcome of whether or not the band/artist gets in.  The fan favorite results are in and here's who the fans want in the Hall.

Bon Jovi with a staggering 1,162,146 votes

Moody Blues with 947,795 votes

Dire Straits with 613,749 votes

Boston's own The Cars with 552,733 votes

Judas Priest with 538,508 votes.

According to Blabbermouth, the winner of the fan vote has a long history of getting in to that school of inductees, meaning John and company are doing a little better than "Livin' on a Prayer" (see what I did again)... in other words, Bon Jovi's pretty much a lock.

Something to note is Radiohead's status.  Apparently, after the fans votes were counted, the UK legends only ranked 12 out of 19 on the list of nominees.  So although they’ve already announced that they won’t be attending the induction ceremony, they wouldn't have a reason to be there anyhow.  Oh well maybe next year.

The official Class of 2018 list of inductees will be announced on December 13.

Here's the full list...
