This New Instagram Feature Lets You Save Yourself From Embarrassment

We've all made some embarrassing moves on Instagram before.

Maybe you uploaded a less-than-flattering photo that seemed gorgeous after a few vodka tonics, or perhaps you posted something you thought was hilarious that earned you just a few measly hearts. Luckily there's a new feature that lets you save yourself from social media embarrassment

When you use the new archive tool, you're able to hide posts from your followers without deleting the images entirely. This means you can keep that hilarious picture of your best friend shoveling queso into her mouth so you can have a laugh when you need it, but she doesn't have to cringe whenever she visits your profile. To use the archive tool, hit the three dots next to any post, then select "archive." Boom! Gone from the public eye, but not permanently deleted.
