Chris Cornell News Round-Up: Funeral Plans, Tributes From the Weekend

Plans have been announced for Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell's funeral, which will take place Friday (May 26) in Los Angeles.

According to attorney Kirk Pasich, a private service and internment will be held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. No other details have been announced about the ceremony. Cornell is survived by his wife, Vicky, and three children.

Cornell, 52, was found dead in his hotel room early Thursday morning (May 18) shortly after playing a concert at Detroit's Fox Theatre. The Wayne County Medical Examiner's office determined it a suicide by hanging, but Cornell's family is questioning the ruling, suggesting that prescription drugs played a part in his death.
