This was heartfelt and personal for James Corden, having to do a show and be funny on the night when earlier that day 4 were killed and many others were injured in the world's latest terror attack. Corden is from London but he has been on this side of the pond entertaining the masses on the Late Late Show since 2014.
Speaking from the heart he gave a poignant message to his countrymen back home saying he 'felt a long way from home'.
In his emotional speech, he also said:
"When something like that happens in your hometown, you don't have a feeling of being glad that you're so far away."
