Prophets of Rage Working New Music

It looks like more new music will be coming from the all-star Prophets of Rage soon.

The group -- which features members of Prophets of Rage with Public Enemy's Chuck D and Cypress Hill's B-Real -- is back in the studio and has posted some photos for the session on Instagram.

Prophets released an EP, The Party's Over, during its 2016 Make America Rage Again Tour, and guitarist Tom Morello tells us that the group plans to be active and ongoing, which means it's essential to create new, original music:

"The goal is a simple one, is that the music has to be devastating. All these interviews we talk a lot about the politics, but it starts, the cornerstone is that the music has to be devastating and (we) have to, like I said, have to not just be competitive with our legacies but has to in 2016 be something that goes beyond that."

Prophets return to the road May 6 for the Maximus Festival in Argentina and has several other festival shows booked overseas. No North American dates have been announced yet.
