Metallica To Livestream Album Release Show

Can't be in London on Friday (November 18) for the launch of Metallica's new Hardwired...To Self-Destruct album? No problem; The band is bringing the party to you.

Metallica will livestream its performance at London's House Of Vans, slated for 4 p.m. EST on Friday to celebrate the release of its first new album in eight years. Tickets for the intimate show were sold to fan club members and contest winners, with proceeds going to benefit Railway Children, a charity that helps at-risk children in the U.K., India and East Africa.

The group has also announced one more show, on December 17 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif. for fan club members, with proceeds going to the Alameda County Community Food Bank. A full touring schedule for 2017 is expected to be announced soon.

Metallica is also raising money for the Propeller aid fund's hurricane damage relief in Haiti, raffling off a trip to Copenhagen for the group`s show there for a $5 donation.
