Metallica News Round-Up: New Video, Fan Flag Campaign

We’re about a month away from the release of Metallica’s new album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, and needless to say, things at Metallica HQ have been very busy.

For starters, the band have released a video from their recent New York City club gig from September…

As if that we’re enough, Metallica are shooting another new video.  So far, it hasn’t been revealed which new track the video is for, but the band teased the video via Facebook.

Of course, Metallica fans have also been kept busy, especially Jonas Rivero from Uruguay who’s created the “Flag Em All” campaign on Facebook.  His mission?  Collect Metallica fan flags from all over the world and sew them together to assemble the largest Metallica fan flag ever.

In a statement to TeamRock, Rivero said, “We want to show that our love and passion for the bad are stronger than any religion, ideology or nationality.  One single flag that will symbolize our love and commitment to the band.”

Seriously…aren’t metalheads just the best fans ever?!

Rivero has a bunch of photos over at the “Flag Em All” Facebook page.  Here’s just a couple to show his progress so far.
