Soundgarden News Round-Up: Vinyl Reissues, Cornell Stalker Arrested

Soundgarden has announced it will be re-releasing a pair of its albums on vinyl this summer.

The Seattle group will put out 1989's Louder Than Love as a single-disc reissue, while it will commemorate the 20th anniversary of 1996's Down On The Upside with a double-LP set. Both are due out August 26. Neither features bonus material but both have been remastered from the original analog tapes and will come with a download card for a digital edition.

...In other Soundgarden news, a woman who's been stalking frontman Chris Cornell for the past couple of years was arrested Wednesday (July 6) outside his concert in Louisville, Ky.

Jessica Robbins was arrested during July of 2014 for allegedly threatening Cornell and his family at; Robbins was issued a GPS ankle monitor and ordered to stay away from the Cornells, but she removed it during May and skipped a court hearing on May 24, making her a fugitive.

Robbins is also suspected of trying to break into the family's home in Miami during 2013 and of posting hostile online postings, some of which targeted Cornell's wife Vicky.
