Geezer Butler Talks About His 2015 Arrest
Remember last year when Geezer Butler was arrested after getting into a bar fight? Apparently, in a new interview with Classic Rock magazine, Butler offers up details about that night.
Butler was in Death Valley, Calif. after a rather rough holiday season mourning the death of his sister-in-law when he went to a bar to take the edge off. Turns out, the beer he chose to drink had a higher ABV than he realized, and, as he put it, “The next thing I know, this guy started mouthing off about something. He was, like, some drunken Nazi bloke. He recognized me, and because I was in the music business, he started going on about Jews and everything — Jews this, Jews that. My missus is Jewish and I’d just had enough, and me hand sort of met his chin. I whacked him one. I was absolutely legless at the time. I don’t know what happened, but one minute I was in this bar, and the next thing I was being arrested. I woke up jail. That was bad enough, but waking up with a hangover was horrible. I was totally ashamed. I should have just walked away. But when you get pissed out of your brains, you don’t know what you’re doing.”
Well, if you’re going to get in a bar fight, this was a good time to get into one.
Maiden Poster Banned In Lithuania
Finally, Iron Maiden got into a bit of trouble in Lituania…or at least Eddie did.
The band’s poster advertising their “Book Of Souls” world tour was banned in the country for being too scary for children.
Here’s the poster in question. We’ll let you be the judge.
