Former Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum has shed a little light -- but just a little light -- on why he's not part of the band for its current reunion.
After a fan sent Sorum a Twitter message asking if he'd be joining GNR at all this year, the drummer tweeted back "No sir, they didn't ask me." The tweet has since been deleted, although in a subsequent exchange after GNR's shows over the weekend in Las Vegas Sorum tweeted that he was "Watching final season of Downton Abbey" instead of watching GNR.
Frank Ferrer, who joined GNR in 2006, remains on the skins for the upcoming dates, which continue Saturday (April 16) at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., and include a 21-date Not In This Lifetime Tour of North America kicking off June 23 in Detroit. So far Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan are the only founding GNR members taking part in the shows.
