STP Offer Update On Singer Search

Sounds like things are moving along well for Stone Temple Pilots and their search for a new lead singer.

The following message was published to the band’s official website:

Hi everyone.

We wanted to once again thank all of those who took the time to submit. Thank you kindly.

Those of you that put forth your top 3 candidates and singer suggestions was a great help as well. Thank you for that.

With MANY hours clocked in behind the computer, the 3 of us have chosen and are auditioning some very talented people.  Auditions will start on April 18th.

We are thrilled to get in a room with each of these very talented individuals.

Let the good times roll.

Robert, Eric, Dean

STP first announced their search for a new singer back in February and asked those interested to submit auditions to their website, which crashed due to the high volume of applicants.  The band have been without a permanent lead singer since November 2015, when Chester Bennington stepped down.  Original lead singer Scott Weiland passed away on December 3, 2015.
