Surprise! Iggy Pop And Josh Homme Cut An Album Together!

Well, this is a delightful piece of news.  (Also, could Josh Homme have any more projects?  Good Lord!)

In a joint interview with The New York Times, Iggy Pop and Homme have teamed up and recorded an album together called Post Pop Depression that is set for release this March.  The best part of all, we’ll see a grand unveiling of this new music when they perform together tonight (January 21st) on CBS’ The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

So, how did this collaboration come to be?  Apparently, all it took to get started was a simple text from Pop to Homme that, according to Homme, “basically said, ‘Hey, it would be great if we got together and maybe write something sometime. – Iggy.’”  THAT’S IT!

One thing’s for certain:  We definitely know which late night talk show we’re tuning into tonight!
