GN’R Reunion Update: Could Steven Adler Be Involved?

Don't count original Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler out of the group's reunion plans yet.

Though only Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan have been confirmed for GNR's April performances at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival in California, "That Metal Show" host Eddie Trunk reveals that negotiations are taking place to make Adler, and maybe even guitarist Izzy Stradlin, part of the program. Trunk posts on his website that sources tell him Adler could make "a guest appearance" during the shows, though current GNR drummer Frank Ferrer will play the majority of the show.

He adds that, "I would suspect the same with (current GNR guitarist) Richard Fortus staying, and maybe Izzy popping up. Trunk goes on to say that he expects keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pittman to remain in the GNR lineup and repeated recent rumors that Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner will be part of the band.

As for Matt Sorum, who replaced Adler in 1990, Trunk writes that, "I have also been told consistently by many that (Sorum) is not involved.

Besides Coachella GNR is also rumored to be considering a number of stadium concerts this year, though no details have been announced about that.
