Irony Alert: Bono Raffling Off Bike Ride For Charity

Remember how Bono broke himself during a bike ride through New York City’s Central Park last year?  Apparently, the U2 frontman has decided to stare danger in its face for the sake of raising money for charity.

In support of his (RED) organization, Bono is raffling off a once-in-a-lifetime chance for one winner and a friend to be flown to NYC and, as he put it, to “visit the scene of the crime” and go on a bike ride with him through Central Park.  The raffle listing says that along the way, you’ll be able to also “grab an ice cream, share stories, and take home plenty of signed merchandise.”

Wait…ice cream is included, too?!  Well, now we’re interested!

For a $10 donation, you’ll receive 100 chances/entries into this raffle, and different donation price points will also net you some exclusive swag like t-shirts or even a guitar signed by Bono for a cool $50,000.  (Because everyone just has 50K burning a hole in their pocket.)

To enter, head over to, where you’ll also find other raffles like joining Snoop Dogg on a “Merry Jane Wellness Retreat” (get it?!) and meeting Jimmy Kimmel and having him give “The Talk” to your children.  (Seriously…we’re not making that last one up.)
