“The Ghosts of Beverly Drive” is Death Cab for Cutie’s newest single off of their album Kintsugi. There has been much speculation over whether this album addresses lead singer Ben GIbbard’s divorce with Zooey Deschanel, but the frontman said in an interview with TIME, “A lot of these songs on the record were inspired by people that I came across in my time living there [Los Angeles].” Either way, the single has been rising on the alternative charts as the band continues touring around the world.

Dan Auerbach, frontman of The Black Keys, leads a new band on the scene, The Arcs. “Outta My Mind” is one of the songs featured on the band’s debut album Yours, Dreamily set to release on September 4th.

Atlas Genius have just released their sophomore album Inanimate Objects on August 28th. Keith Jeffery of Atlas Genius describes the album during an interview with Music Times, “We wanted this album to be a little darker, a little more aggressive than the first album because I think that’s where we were at personally.” The album features the hit “Molecules” which has been climbing the alternative charts in the past weeks.
