Life After Chester: Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda Drops 2 New Songs

Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, (Chester Bennington's long time on stage partner, collaborator and friend), announced today (Thursday March 29th), that he will be releasing a new full length solo album June 15th.  To prepare fans properly, he also released the first 2 tracks from it.  The album's title will be Post Traumatic (fitting considering how his past year has obviously been) and it's available to pre-order now.

Since Chester's passing Mike has immersed himself  in visual art as well as music to help with his grief.  He locked himself in his LA home and started writing, recording and painting.  This new album is the result.

Mike explains:

It's a journey about grief and darkness not INTO grief and darkness.  If people have been through something similar, I hope they feel less alone. If they haven't been through this, I hope they feel grateful.

Ultimately Post Traumatic is an album about healing.  The songs are specific about Mike's experience, but his  hopes are that this new album can be universally relatable to loss and love.
