Ya know, sometimes I cringe at watching broadcasters or radio hosts (myself included) interview celebrities, musicians especially, because there are just so many digressions, so much chit chat in between questions, it can feels awkward and forced. This recent Foo Fighters interview on Radio X with host Chris Moyles starts out that way especially when you see on YouTube that it runs for 45 minutes, which at first I was thinking has got to be 30 minutes too long. But turns out that chit chat between fact finding produced an awesome moment where Dave Grohl tells a story about being introduced by Christopher Walken. Back in 2003, Christopher Walken was getting ready to announce the band on SNL and before he did, he asked Dave if the accent was on the "Foo" or the "Fighters" - the result is absolute gold.
Foo Fighters - they're legends. And they're back with a new album, fresh off the back of their incredible Glastonbury headline slot this summer. To celebrate the release of the new Foo Fighters album Concrete and Gold and a triumphant show at London's O2 last week, Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins gave an intimate and in-depth interview to Radio X's Chris Moyles.
