Let's face it, not much is bettah than live music...except when you're really up close and the band members hang out with you afterwards.
Or when they talk openly with the PIA radio host (me) who probably asks the same old questions they've answered a million times over.
Or when the lead singer clears the floor of the Hard Rock so he can dance with the audience and do his upside down tricks and hand stands. I mean, THAT is a New Politics show. And this particular one happened in front of a small Alt 92.9 generated audience bonded by their love for the band. They are a tremendous band from Denmark who carry a great vibe with them everywhere they go and who definitely love life. New Politics, who opened for 311 at the Pavillion on Sunday July 16, but before their show that night, they spent a couple of hours with us and about 50 fans at the Hard Rock Boston.
Here's what went down -
"One of Us"
"Harlem" with some crowd clearing head stands and a dance with a couple of kids who were there, including my 10 year old daughter Cami -
Missed them here, no sweat they'll be back for a free show and no limit on audience size! Here's more about our free live summer concert series Alt Rocks Boston including our show with New Politics this September.
