Oh, Netflix how we love thee!
The streaming platform never ceases to amaze us with its buzz worthy original content but this time around Netflix surprised us with an out of the blue announcement of their new mini-series, The OA.
Yesterday, Netflix teased the mystery-thriller by uploading a series of photos on Instagram that include nosebleeds, gas masks, pills, violin music, outer space and raging waters but there’s more to the story.
The eight-part series centers around the strange reappearance of Prairie Johnson, a young blind woman who went missing in her 20s. Prairie returns home after going missing for seven years with her sight restored, and is tight-lipped about the details of her disappearance and how she has regained her sight.
We don’t know much about her story but in the trailer, she reveals that she didn’t really disappear and was “present for all of it.”
Check out the trailer below and be sure to tune in starting Friday, December 16th to put the pieces together!
