The members of Linkin Park aren't just rock stars but they are the best kind of do-gooders...using their art to help those who have survived natural disasters and are left with little to nothing. Funny too, I've always wondered what on earth happens to the poor souls who you see on the news who have lost everything they own in a tornado or flood. We, here in New England, are relatively lucky dealing with the occasional blizzard or traffic jam. But the fine folks of Japan with their Tsunamis and those who live in the flat lands of Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma in America's "Tornado Alley" who's life belongings are suddenly be taken by and like the wind, they know the true meaning of survival.
So on this Giving Tuesday, after a long weekend of buying and spending, hopefully we have a few extra $$ for this cool cause. And hey, it's not like you won't be getting anything for your trouble, in fact this makes a GREAT gift for your music aficionado.
Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn have teamed with designer/artist Blaine Halvorson's brand, MadeWorn, and they've created some really amazing CUSTOM made beautiful unique tee-shirts featuring the original street soldier design from the band's debut album, Hybrid Theory. (check out the video below)
The shirts are on sale today, November 29th, as part of Giving Tuesday, and a portion of each sale will benefit Linkin Park's nonprofit Music for Relief, which aids survivors of natural disasters and promotes environmental conservation.
Here's a video from the band about MadeWorn and the making of these shirts:
