Dave Grohl Writes Letter In Support Of Teen Metal Band

Leave it to Dave Grohl to stick up for some kids that are just looking to rehearse in their neighborhood.

Grohl was recently contacted by Black Leaves Of Envy, a metal band made up of four teens from Cornwall, England who’ve run into a bit of a jam:  Their city council has ordered them to keep their rehearsal playing between a miniscule 30-40 decibels, with one of the band’s parents citing they’re being targeted simply because they’re a metal band, and “…if they were playing jazz in the garage, it would not be a problem.”

So, what does Good-Guy-Grohl do?  Draft a letter to the Cornwall Council!  Check out the letter posted to their Facebook page below!

As if the letter wasn’t enough, a special “Soundproofing and Sound Treatment” post was added to the Foo Fighter’s website to help create a more sound-conscience garage space.

So far, there hasn’t been any statement from the Cornwall Council about the matter, but who could say no to Dave Grohl and his reasoning?
