Bowie’s ‘Blackstar’ Projected To Debut At No. 1

Looks like David Bowie truly is going out on top.

Per Billboard, his latest album Blackstar is projected to sell an estimated 130,000 copies which will not only net Bowie the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart but the late artist’s first number one album in his entire career.  His highest ranking album was 2013’s The Next Day, which landed at number two upon release.

Don’t be surprised if Blackstar isn’t the only Bowie title on the Billboard 200.  At time of publishing, 30 different Bowie albums, ranging from best of sets to studio releases, are scattered throughout iTunes Top 100 albums chart, with 2002’s Best of Bowie set coming in at number one, followed by five other titles in the top 10.
