The officially sanctioned book was written by Matt Taylor is due out in the fall of 2016, featuring interviews with the band members as well as producer Flemming Rasmussen, management, fans, members of Metallica's road crew and tour support acts including Anthrax and Armored Saint.
* Rush bassist Geddy Lee has revealed he was almost hired to produce "Master Of Puppets." Lee tells Noisey that he had "some discussion" with drummer Lars Ulrich about working with Metallica and was also friendly with the band's management at the time. "We talked about it, and I liked their band a lot at that time, but it just never came together," Lee says.
Metallica is currently working on its long-awaited followup to 2008's "Death Magnetic" and will also play a special show on February 2, the eve of Super Bowl 50, in its home town of San Francisco.
