Jack White News Round-Up: New White Stripes Release, Potluck Surprise

Fans of Third Man Records’ “Vault Package” can expect a special White Stripes-themed set for the 26th installment of quarterly series.

Dubbed “The Cass Corridor Collection,” Vault Package 26 contains a rare 1999 performance at a Detroit Bar located in the city’s Cass Corridor neighborhood called the Gold Dollar.  In addition, the package also contains photos from said show along with replica flyers that Jack White designed to promote the show.  Take a listen to a preview of the show below with “Let’s Build A Home.”

…And now, for something completely different.

Apparently, Jack White recently attended his neighborhood’s potluck, and pretty much no one knew who he was.

Instagram user jedidiahjenkin posted the photo below explaining how his mother throws this gathering every year for the past decade, and the other neighbors on the street have always wondered who lived in the “large gated historic home shrouded in trees” at the bottom of the street.  Turns out, it’s Jack, and he apologized for missing the event for so long due to traveling so much, AKA: Touring like crazy and being a rockstar.

Hopefully, he remembers the potluck next year and brings a dish to pass.  No one likes a free-loader.
