It sounds like a new Pearl Jam album might be headed our way soon.
In a new interview, bassist Jeff Ament tells Vice that, "The band will probably try and get another record going in the next year," though he didn't offer any specifics about a follow-up to 2013's Lightning Bolt. The group does have some live shows coming up, starting with an appearance at the Global Citizen Festival on September 26 in New York City and then heading to South America for nine shows during November.
Meanwhile, Ament has been actively involved in building skate parks in Montana, where he now resides part-time, telling Vice that, "The way I look at it is if I'm touring and doing more things with the band I make more money. If I make more money I build more parks. It helps me get more excited about touring because I'm usually not too excited about it."
