Trent Reznor is not allowing some Canadian politicians to have their way with his nine inch nails logo.
Reznor has sent a cease and desist order to Alberta Premier Rachel Notley, Edmonton Mayor Don Iverson and Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi -- NIN, get it? -- after they made T-shirts using the band logo to promote their Building Alberta Together campaign.
Iverson acknowledged the CBC that the shirts were indeed an "infringement" on the nine inch nails logo, saying that, "We got advice that there were some concerns about the trademark and essentially to cease and desist."
Notley previously sold campaign T-shirts labeled Notley Crue but had no problems from Motley Crue.
