Nickelback may have had to give up its tour, but it's not giving up on promoting its latest album, No Fixed Address.
The Canadian quartet has just released a new video for the track "Get 'Em Up," illustrating the song's story of a bank robbery that goes awry.
Frontman Chad Kroeger tells us that like many of the band's singles, "Get 'Em Up" was the result of seeing how fans received the song rather than a pre-determined plan:
"We look at iTunes and people...It's not a single, but it's generating a lot of interest, so we're saying to ourselves, 'Maybe we should make this thing a single.' The next thing we know we're shooting a video for it...and it's a lot of fun to play live."
Nickelback fans won't be able to hear the song live, however, until September 30, when the group begins a European tour. Nickelback had to scrub its North American summer trek after a cyst was discovered in Kroeger`s through, necessitating surgery. Nickelback plans to play North America in 2016 instead.
